We are continually coming up with events to both allow our animals to meet potential adopters and to fundraise for the costs associated with keeping our rescue running.  

Also, being entirely volunteer-based, we find ourselves with administrative tasks as well as hands-on activities, that seem to stay on our to-do lists forever.

Do you have a skill that you think might benefit Helpless Hounds, or do you have a few free hours a week that you'd be willing to spare? We'll find something for you to do!

TRANSPORT OUR DOGS

Our dogs come from and go home to all parts of the country, and many times need to be rescued/transported at the drop of a hat.

Vet appointments, meet and greets, and medical boarding leaves our dogs with numerous traveling needs. We have an amazing network of volunteers, whom we communicate with via Messenger whenever transport needs arise.

For out-of-state adoptions, we also have adopters provide a transport fee that goes directly to the transporter. Join our network that spans the US to see how you might be able to help when we're in your area by clicking the button below.

​SPONSOR A DOG

Sponsoring a dog is a way to provide care for a particular dog.  Sponsorship can be as little or as much as you like.  This donation can cover medical treatments, trainer evaluations, transportation costs, etc.  
Here are some examples of what your donation can mean for a dog:

• $25 - Provides a microchip implantation
• $30 - Provides a heartworm test
• $60 - Provides 1 round of prevention treatments
• $75 - Provides a full set of vaccinations for an adult dog
• $130 - Provides multiple rounds of vaccinations for a puppy
• $125 - Provides vetting/health certificate to be eligible for a transport
• $150 - Provides a spay/neuter
• $600 - Provides life-saving heartworm treatment
