How Transport Works
We are based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, but we have hounds being fostered in several states. We also adopt out all over the country, and our adopted hounds are currently in 44 states and Canada.
Wherever you are, our dedicated transport team will find a way to get your hound to you. With plenty of resources and an open mind about how to get there, we’ve never failed to get a hound home.
Once you're approved, our transport coordinator will reach out with options, and we'll work together to find the best fit.

Some Ways It Could Work
Not every option is available for every dog, but here are some of the possibilities.
Volunteer Relay
A long trip could be split into legs of about two hours or less. Each volunteer driver covers one leg and hands your dog off to the next at a meeting spot, usually a gas station or rest stop. Relay drivers' gas costs are covered.
Professional Transport
We use several professional transport companies. For example, one runs an East Coast route every two weeks, so there's often a ride available.
Flights
Your dog could fly with a flight nanny, a volunteer, or on a Southwest SWATT flight.
Meet Partway
You could meet us or a driver somewhere in the middle to cut down the trip.
Fly to Us
You could fly in and bring your dog home yourself.
Your Idea
Have a plan of your own? We're open to it.
What It Costs
That's what most transports cost. The price depends on how involved you want to be and how far you're able to travel.
