Helpless Hounds Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) rescue based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We save hounds and hound mixes from shelters, streets and rural areas across the state, then match them with loving families all over the country.

About us

Saving Hounds, One Foster Home at a Time

Passion for hound dogs and the desire to save as many as possible drive everyone at Helpless Hounds. We don’t have a shelter building. Every hound lives in a foster home until adoption, thanks to an amazing network of fosters who open their hearts and their homes to our dogs.

While we’re a hound-specific rescue, we take in dogs of all shapes, sizes, ages and medical needs, and we give every one of them a fresh start.
